Kuwata tosses 3 shut-out innings

by on Dec.13, 2009 @ 1:04 am, under College

Masumi Kuwata wore the number 18 and tossed 3 innings of shut-out ball and struck out 4; he did not give up any hits.

18 high school players, including Tomohiro Yamada from Ken Gifu Shogyo High School, were admitted into Senshu University (Tohto 2nd League) via sports recommendations on Saturday.

Yasutaka Kashiwaba from Hanamaki Higashi High School, and 15 other high school players, were admitted into Meiji University (Tokyo Big 6) on Saturday.

Gen, you’re completely reading those articles wrong, or at least your wording is completely wrong. Meiji, for example, published a list of the 16 new kids they admitted on baseball scholarships for next year, but they aren’t 16 kids from Hanamaki Higashi, they are 16 kids INCLUDING Kashiwaba:

I don’t think any Big 6 school usually takes in 16 players from the same school. Even Keio, when they took in the entirety of the Senbatsu kids from Keio HS, only had 13 of them.

I was actually meaning to come back and fix this news update but managed to forget about it.

      It’s fixed now.
