...Sachio Kinugasa said that it should be up to Tomoaki Kanemoto himself to decide when his consecutive games of playing every inning will come to an end (he's currently at 1,474 consecutive games of playing every inning).
...The Tigers will begin selling Kenji Johjima jerseys beginning on Wednesday. They are preparing 800 jerseys with the number 2 on them in four different sizes (S, M, L, LL) with a tag of 6,300 yen. They are also preparing white, pink, yellow, and black jerseys at 6,001 yen a piece. A total 1,000 jerseys will be produced.
The jerseys will only be available for purchase at the Umeda Hanshin Department Store's Hanshin Tigers' Shop in Osaka.
...Akinobu Mayumi is high on Matt Murton and is thinking about batting him in the one or two hole in the line-up.
...With Colby Lewis leaving the team, the Carp are now scrambling to find a via replacement for him. But it won't be easy because they'll now have to start their search over from scratch. It's likely they'll be in the market for two pitchers.
...The media found out on Monday that Shun Takaichi was married to a Kaori Kubo (sp?). The two had been dating for 5 years and filed their marriage paperwork on Monday. They will hold a wedding ceremony some time this month.
...All the news about players getting married has gotten Hayato Sakamoto thinking about it. He should probably steer clear of Haruki Ihara's (pitching coach) daughter, a model named Natsuna Ihara, since it seems he wouldn't necessarily approve of their "coupling." (Sakamoto apparently likes older women.)
Ihara's daughter attended a team function in Australia on Monday night.
