...Hirokazu Ibata apparently asked the club for 300M yen next season during his contract negotiation meeting on Friday.
During the meeting, the Dragons apparently said that they wanted Ibata to become the new face of the club, now that Motonobu Tanishige is no longer active. In turn, Ibata suggested that that should be worth about 300M yen in salary.
...The Tigers will be holding a Shinenkai (sort of a New Year party) some time in January next year for management and coaching personnel to talk about the upcoming season.

...Hideaki Wakui plans on using Takeya Nakamura as an example for why he (and even Yasuyuki Kataoka) deserve larger raises. Wakui led the league in wins and won the Sawamura Award this past season.
...Aaron Guiel apparently wants the Swallows to be his last team. As reported earlier, Guiel signed a 2-year deal with the Swallows. He is set to earn 90M yen (about $1M) next season and could earn as much as 270M yen (about $3M) over the course of the entire deal depending on his performances.
...Despite having a slow start this past season, Norichika Aoki will still likely see his salary for next season get into the 300M yen range.
...Swallows' mascot, Tsubakuro, said he that he's going to run wild during Dragon Gate's (a wrestling group) Korakuen Hall Tournament on January 20th. If Tsubakuro really does make it into wrestling, he would be come the second baseball avian mascot to do so (the Eagles' Mr. Carrasco is the first).
