Chunichi Dragons

...Masahiro Araki would like to invite Norihiro Akahoshi out to dinner so that he can pick his brain on base-stealing techniques.

Nippon Ham Fighters

...Shota Ono doesn't plan on arguing much with Yu Darvish if he ends up catching some of his games next season.  Instead, he only speak up when he feels he has to.  In the end, he wants Darvish to be satisfied with his performances.  Although that shouldn't be mistaken for letting Darvish walk all over him either (kakaadenka - かかあ天下).

...Masao Kida and Satoshi Nakajima have their eyes on becoming the second 40 or over battery mates next season.  The Tigers' Akihiro Yano and Tsuyoshi Shimoyanagi became the first such battery mates back on 7/21/2009.

Rakuten Eagles

...Masahiro Tanaka doesn't plan on relying on an agent to do his negotiations for him.

Seibu Lions

...Five players have put contract negotiations on hold: Hideaki Wakui, Hiroyuki Nakajima, G.G. Sato, Yasuyuki Kataoka, and Toru Hosokawa.

Yokohama Bay Stars

...Team president Takao Kaji received a letter from a fan saying that the right field stands are sacred grounds for Yokohama fans (横浜の聖地).  Kaji said that he'd like to join the fans in right field for a few games next season if possible.
