Chiba Lotte Marines

...About 50 kids showed up at Chiba Marine Stadium on Friday for a 2-hour baseball clinic run by Toshiaki Imae.  After the end of the clinic, Imae dressed up as Santa Claus and handed out sweets to all the kids that came.

Chunichi Dragons

...The Dragons announced that Doala is getting a full week of vacation, beginning today.  Club reps told reporters that Doala has not had more than 3 consecutive days off over the last 2 years.

Hanshin Tigers

...Akinobu Mayumi named Takashi Toritani the team captain on Thursday.  Although I'm not entirely sure if it's an official thing or not.  The bottom line is that Mayumi wants Toritani to take charge on the field and pull the team together.

Hiroshima Carp

...Tsubasa Aizawa will be spending about 1M yen in order to go to the US in January with Kenta Kurihara for training.  Incidentally, Aizawa's salary for the 2010 season is set at 6.5M yen.

Nippon Ham Fighters

...Masanori Hayashi won't be re-signing a contract with the Fighters before the end of the year.

Orix Buffaloes

...The Hop Club, the group that sings the Buffaloes' cheer song Yume Miru Seishun, held a Christmas event on Thursday and told fans that they'd like to try their hand at performing the song live at the stadium next year.

Also at the event were the Bs Dreams (the Buffaloes' cheer-leading group) and team mascots Neppie and Ripsea.

Softbank Hawks

...Nagisa Arakaki told reporters on Thursday that he's done with training for the rest of the year.

Arakaki will be returning to Okinawa for New Years and will return to Fukuoka in early January.

...Hiroki Kokubo is thinking about working out at Yahoo Dome on 12/31 and 1/1.

Kokubo was a guest on KBCs 35th Annual Radio Charity Musicthon on Thursday.  About 1,000 fans showed up outside the radio station to catch a glimpse of Kokubo.
