Matsui’s landing in California to bring Godzilla back to the big screen?

Toshihisa Nishi is prepared to retire if he doesn't receive any offers by February.

Koji Uehara closed out his training on Friday with some running, weight-lifting, and played some light catch.  He'll be returning to his home in Osaka for New Years but plans to continue keeping his body loose.

Uehara is fully prepared to pitch where ever the Orioles need him most next season.

There's talk that Toho Productions might be producing another Godzilla film.  And it seems Hideki Matsui might have something to do with that (and more than just the nickname).

The first Godzilla film came out in 1954, 55 years ago.  That also happens to be Matsui's uniform number.  Toho Productions also seems to want to take Godzilla to another level by working with studios in the US to create the ultimate Godzilla film.  With Matsui now in California (and therefore much closer to Hollywood), the timing for a new film could be as good as any.

If there is another Godzilla film and Matsui does happen to make an appearance in it, it wouldn't be the first time that has happened.  Matsui made an appearance in the 2002 file Godzilla vs Mecha-Godzilla.

Incidentally, it seems there are some rumors going around of a possible Red Godzilla or an Angel Godzilla.
