Chiba Lotte Marines

...About 200 fans showed up for the first sale of the year at Chiba Marine Stadium on Saturday.  4th round draft pick Ikuro Kiyota also made an appearance and was cheered on by chants of his nickname, Kiyo.

Hanshin Tigers

...Kazuhito Futagami started up his training on Sunday with some running.  He also played some catch.

Hiroshima Carp

...Just call them the ID Combi (IDコンビ): Takeru Imamura and Shota Dobayashi.

Seibu Lions

...Hisanobu Watanabe doesn't want Yusei Kikuchi feeling like he's being rushed and recently said that he wanted Kikuchi to work out on his own pace.

Hideaki Wakui wants to help Kikuchi loosen up a bit.  He feels that Kikuchi might be a little too serious and wants Kikuchi to enjoy himself.

The Lions also appear to be a little concerned about whether or not Kikuchi will be able to "fit in" in with the club.  In order to help him out, they plan on matching him up with a number of different players: at first, they'll have him work with Fumikazu Kimura and Ryoma Nogami; if that doesn't work, Takayuki Kishi and Wakui; if that doesn't work, Kazuyuki Hoashi and Chikara Onodera; and finally, if the other pitchers don't work out, Kimiyasu KudoFumiya Nishiguchi will also likely be thrown in at some point.

2010 Draft

...Yuki Saito, Tatsuya Ohishi, and Yuya Fukui's 2010 season will effectively begin on January 5th as Waseda opens for training.
