Ohmatsu has been working out with Nippon Ham Fighters Masanori Hayashi and Keisaku Itokazu in Okinawa.
...Kodai Sakurai made an appearance at a charity auction on Monday and told fans that he managed to lose 5kg while keeping his body fat at 12%.
Sakurai will begin training in Okinawa on the 12.

...The Tigers held a charity auction on the 11th. Akihiro Yano's home and road uniforms both went for 400,000 yen each; and his catcher's glove went for 190,000 yen.
In total, the auction netted 3,287,500 yen on Monday. All the money will be donated to the city of Amagasaki to help orphaned children.

...Yoshinori Sato will be flying out to Arizona today. He will likely be training at Athletes' Performance and may spend some time working out with Daisuke Matszuaka. Seems Sato wants to ask Matsuzaka about what he eats and how to strengthen his trunk muscles.

...Hayato Terahara is looking forward to facing his old battery mate, Kenji Johjima. He told reporters that he plans on attacking the inside corner against Johjima.
...Yoshiyuki Kamei told reporters on Monday that he wants to hit more home runs to the opposite field. To that end, he's currently working on strengthening his wrist by taking soft toss BP using just his right hand.
Last season, of the 25 home runs Kamei hit, only 1 was to the opposite field.
...Shinnosuke Abe plans on making a couple of suggestions to Tatsunori Hara on how training might be improved. For example, instead of requiring everyone to take an early morning walk, Hara could make it an option of either taking a walk or starting workouts a little early.
