...Looks like there's a chance that Ryoji Nakata might not be able make Spring camp. It seems he doesn't have enough credits to graduate and will have to attend classes during the week. There's also a few tests he'll like need to take that could take upwards of a week, beginning on the 26th.

...As mentioned yesterday, the Lions are starting to work on breaking down Yusei Kikuchi's delivery. There are currently two issues Kikuchi is trying to work out: the positioning of his arm and how to use his right leg.
He also has two specific game performances from last year that he plans to rely on for some hints:
1) in a game against Mukawa, he tossed a complete game, 2-hit shutout where he felt his mechanics were at their best
2) in a game against Chukyodai Chukyo (during the National Athletic Tournament) he pitched just 1 inning and struck out 3 batters. In this game, he felt that his stuff was at his best.
...The Fighters held their first scout meeting of the year on Monday. The Fighters are interested in about 5-6 pitchers, including Yuki Saito, Tatsuya Ohishi, and Hirokazu Sawamura. The Fighters also decided that they will likely focus on Saito's performance at the World University Baseball Championship's that begin on 7/30 instead of his performance in the Tokyo Big 6.
