Chunichi Dragons

...The Dragons have currently penciled in Ichi-gun Spring camp starts for 4th round draft pick Yusuke Matsui, 5th round draft pick Yohei Ohshima, and 7th round draft pick Masato Matsui.  Final decisions will likely be made again right before the start of Spring camp.

Rakuten Eagles

...Rookie mini camp took place outdoors at Kleenex Stadium for the first time this year.

...Tetsuro Nishida stayed back an extra 20 minutes for short distance running on Sunday after a 4 hour training session that included running, playing catch, weight lifting, and soft-toss BP.

Softbank Hawks

...Kenta Imamiya ran a 30-meter dash in 3.94s on Sunday.  The team average for a 30-meter dash at Spring camp in 2008 was 4.39s.  Imamiya has his sights set on becoming the younger player to win a stolen base title in the NPB.

Imamiya also shagged some flies and took some grounders in the outfield during outdoor practice.

Yomiuri Giants

...5th round draft pick Junpei Ono held a 30-pitch bullpen session on Sunday.  And for some reason, the fact that he doesn't like carrots and green peppers is also part of the story.
