Koji Uehara wants to start, Hisanori Takahashi willing to wait

Koji Uehara is currently focusing most of his training on running.  On Thursday (Friday in Japan) he worked out for 5 hours, starting from 9am.  He also played some catch at a distance of about 50 meters.  Uehara told reporters that he doesn't plan on trying to conserve his energy and will go all out; he wants to win a job in the starting rotation.

Hisanori Takahashi is apparently prepared to wait things out a bit longer if it means he'll get a major league deal and a shot at starting.

Daisuke Matsuzaka is eating 5-6 meals a day.  The amount he actually eats in total isn't that far away off from when he at 3 meals a day.  He has also managed to keep his weight at about 90kg while decreasing his fat content.

Matsuzaka is also currently working on strengthening three main areas: shoulders, trunk muscles, and gluts.

Ichiro is making headlines because he's one of 25 men selected as the most stylish by GQ.
