Hideki Matsui and Ichiro Suzuki

Arizona  Sports and Tourism Authority's Tom Sadler is excited about Hideki Matsui joining the Angels because it could mean more Japanese tourists during Spring Training, and even more so during exhibition games against Ichiro and the Mariners.

Seems Arizona  Sports and Tourism Authority is working on a number of different services that will appeal to Japanese tourists, including providing services in Japanese.

Ichiro worked out with Orix Buffalo Mitsutaka Goto at Skymark Stadium on Tuesday.

During BP, Ichiro took 121 swings of the bat and hit 42 over the fence, including 9 in a row after his 63rd swing.  Goto knocked out 10 in 139 swings.

Against Softbank Hawk Munenori Kawasaki, Ichiro his 43 out in 160 swings; and against Nippon Ham Fighter Tomochika Tsuboi, Ichiro took 116 swings and hit 21 out.

Ichiro also showed off his arm on Tuesday, throwing the ball at distances of over 100 meters.
