...Nomura arrived in Okinawa on Sunday, checked into his hotel, and then quickly headed to the stadium to check on the fields. Afterward, he returned to his hotel and held a team meeting. He told his players that he not only wants to see quality practices, he also wants long practice as well.
...Tomonori Maeda and Jun Hirose arrived in Okinawa a couple hours late on Sunday. They were scheduled to join the team in Fukuoka and head to Okinawa from there, but a train delay kept them from getting to Fukuoka in time.
