...Seems So Taguchi is doing a good job at keeping the atmosphere at Spring camp loose and light.  Taguchi told reporters that he wants to have a smile on his face whenever he plays baseball because it's something he enjoys so much.

...Alex Cabrera took BP using a 1kg training bat on Tuesday and still managed to hit a number of balls over the fence.  Akinobu Okada was impressed with the show of power and is now likely thinking about using him in the 4 hole.

...Hirotoshi Kitagawa ran into the locker room after warm-ups on Tuesday to change into his uniform.  When he noticed no one else changing, he grabbed his uniform and ran out onto the field.  To his dismay, his teammates started clapping their hands and laughing.   Kitagawa had forgotten that they weren't going to change until after they did some base-running.

...12 out of the 17 pitchers that held bullpen session on Monday tossed 90 or more pitches.  Hiroshi Kisanuki led all pitchers by throwing 110 pitches.  And it seems Masaki Ihara (threw 96 pitches) impressed Akinobu Okada the most.  Okada also felt he had to leave when the group of Kisanuki, Chihiro Kaneko, Shogo Yamamoto, and Kazuki Kondo were pitching because it seemed as though they were all trying to impress Okada by throwing a lot.  All fourpitchers ended up throwing more than 100 pitches.

...So Taguchi was reminded on Monday just how much teams in Japan practice.  But he told reporters that he would be ok as he worked throw the same training menu as the rest of the team.  Taguchi was also seen giving advice to some of the younger players.

...Sponichi is praising Alex Cabrera for arriving to Spring camp on time.  They also took note of Cabrera visiting Aarom Baldiris at the Ichi-gun camp (after he finished his own training) to give him pointers on hitting and weight training.
