...Seiichi Uchikawa spent about 1.5 hours in the indoor cages after general practice to work on his hitting.  He told reporters he'd like to get 200 hits this year but would set his goal higher at 222 (the last two 2s for today's date) since it's always better to overreach.

...Naoyuki Shimizu held his second bullpen in as many days and threw 120 pitches.  He told reporters that he threw so many pitches because he only threw 55 on Monday and won't be throwing a bullpen session Wednesday.

Shimizu also said that he wasn't able to thrown more than a 100 pitches during a bullpen session over the last few years due to Bobby Valentine's pitch count limits.  (He was only able to throw about 60.)

...It would seem that Takao Obana might be looking for Takayuki Shinohara to be the team's left-handed setup man this season.

...For shouting practice on Tuesday, Seiichi Uchikawa shouted that he wanted to share the happiness of winning the WBC with all his teammates and that assuming everything goes well, he'll file marriage papers with his fiance on 3/24.

For clarification, the bit about the WBC was probably about wanting to win a championship with everyone so that they could get a feel for what it was like for him at the WBC.

...Takao Obana told his pitchers to play catch for 30 minutes during both the morning and afternoon sessions on Monday.  He wanted the pitchers to practice with their lower bodies feeling tired.

...Shun Yamaguchi tossed a 93-pitch bullpen session on Monday.

...Shuichi Murata took 41 swings during BP on Monday and focused on hitting the ball towards right field (35 of his connections went towards right).  Seiichi Uchikawa took 38 swings and hit 36 towards right.
