...Shun Tono tossed 103 pitches (including his curve and slider) during his bullpen session on Tuesday. He said he was pretty drained towards the end and was more or less satisfied with the session. Tono's hoping to throw even more pitches (200+) during the second session of camp.
...Micheal Nakamura held a bullpen session on Tuesday and threw 53 pitches (including his slider and curve). It was the first time in about 4 months that Nakamura threw to a squatting catcher.

...Assuming Hayato Sakamoto is feeling better, he'll be at Spring camp on Tuesday. As for that fine... Fines apparently are determined based on salary, so it would be 80M yen / 365 days, which works out to about 200,000 yen.
...Tatsunori Hara was seen working closely with Taishi Ohta a number of times on Monday. He worked with Ohta at third base, helping him with his footwork and throws. Later in day, he watched Ohta take BP and gave him some pointers with his push-bunts. All told, Hara apparently spent over an hour working with Ohta.
Incidentally, Ohta took about 800 swings of the bat on Monday.
...Hisayoshi Chono was apparently pleased with his first day of Spring camp. He got some tips on how to use his lower body from batting coach Kazunori Shinozuka during soft-toss BP.
...15 of 17 pitchers threw bullpen sessions on Monday. Shugo Fujii tossed 51 pitches and mixed in his curve; Yasunari Takagi tossed 52 pitches. Masahide Kobayashi was the first pitcher to hold a bullpen session on Monday.
...Alex Ramirez played some catch on Monday using a first baseman's glove.
...The Giants announced that former Hanwha Eagle Jin-Woo Song was invited to be a Ni-gun pitching coach. If everything works out, he could join the team some time this month. Song was a big time pitcher in the KBO, being the only pitcher to win 200 games. He retired after the 2009 season with 210 career wins.
