...On the last day of the first session of Spring camp (Thursday), as many as 7 hitters lined up side-by-side to take 100 swings during soft-toss.  And the last item on the training menu was a 3.2km run.

...Tsubasa Aizawa and Yuta Shirahama both showed up for early batting practice on Thursday for some extra BP.  The two are trying to give the two veterans catchers on the staff, Yoshiyuki Ishihara and Yoshikazu Kura, a run for their money.

...Takeshi Komatsu and Takahiro Aoki tossed BP on Thursday.  They both likely threw around 50 pitches.

...Kenta Kurihara told reporters that the one thing he really needed to focus on during Spring camp was fielding.

...Norihiro Akahoshi actually met with Masato Akamatsu on Wednesday

...Ryuji Yokoyama held a bullpen session on Wednesday and threw 30 pitches.  Yokoyama was the last of 20 pitchers at Okinawa to throw a bullpen session.  When asked if there was any connection between throwing a bullpen session  on 2/3 and his uniform number 23, Yokoyama smirked and said he didn't even realize.

...Former Tiger Norihiro Akahoshi apparently feels Masato Akamatsu has a good chance of leading the league in stolen bases this year.
