...Tetsuya Utsumi held a bullpen session on Thursday and threw 153 pitches.
...Shun Tono threw 130 pitches during a bullpen session on Thursday.
...For the second time in as many days, Alex Ramirez took some infield practice on Thursday. On this day, Ramirez made 7 errors in 64 chances.
...Hisayoshi Chono worked with Tatsunori Hara in the air tent twice during the first session of Spring camp; Taishi Ohta 3 times.
...Tatsunori Hara walked along the beach for about 30 minutes during his morning walk on Thursday. He also made some time to lecture media members on the proper way to walk.
...Tetsuya Yamaguchi tossed 72 pitches during his bullpen session on Wednesday. He also stayed back after practice for about 30 minutes in order to play some catch. Yamaguchi was apparently the only player that stayed back so he ended up playing catch with one of the coaches.
...Tetsuya Matsumoto didn't hit any balls over the fence during his BP session on Wednesday, but he did apparently do a good job of hitting line drives to the opposite field.
...Edgar Gonzalez has been getting help from Ramirez. On Thursday, he got a few hitting pointers from Ramirez. Later during batting practice, Gonzalez hit 2 over the fence.
...Ramirez is looking for ideas on his HR performance bit again this year. He's been thinking about returning to one of his early performances, but isn't quite sure which one. It also possible that the Giants will put out a call for user submitted ideas again. The theme of his performance this year will be "a return to basics."

...Norihito Kaneto changed his delivery in the middle of the 2009 season and is currently working on finalizing it. Kaneto told reporters on Thursday that he can now throw without having to think too much about how to throw.
...Alex Ramirez is taking fielding practice at first base in stride -- he realizes that it might be his best option if he wants to continue playing for a few more years. During practice on Wednesday, Ramirez made errors on 5 of 21 grounders he fielded. Ramirez worked on his glove work a bit more later in the day with about 20 minutes of grounders.
...Reporters were let into the air-tent on Wednesday. The air-tent is usually off-limits, but the Giants allowed a number of media personnel to enter the tent for about an hour.
Inside the tent, they got to see Tatsunori Hara giving hitting instructions to Taishi Ohta and Hisayoshi Chono.
...Batting coach Kazunori Shinozuka suggested Chono get a little closer to home plate -- he tends to stand in the center of the batter's box. His reason? While Chono had good coverage of the outer portion of the plate in the Industrial Leagues, the same likely won't be true in the NPB where things are much faster. Moving closer to the plate will allow him to cover the plate more efficiently. Of course, that'll also mean his viewpoint changes.
...Ohta and Chono threw roasted soybeans on Wednesday.
