Yomiuri Giants: Tiger Mask to work with Giants, 2/22 and 2/23

...Yoshinobu Takahashi took BP on Saturday and hit 2 over the fence.

...Tatsunori Hara spent most of his time checking on the pitchers on Saturday.  He spent most of his time during the first session working with the position players.

...Hara was impressed with Tetsuya Utsumi's new pitch, the cutter.

...Tetsuya Yamaguchi worked on his pick-off move during his bullpen session on Saturday.

...Shigeyuki Furuki said that his tire training is starting to pay off.  Furuki spent time during the off-season using a tire weighing over 30kg to strengthen his lower body.  He told reporters that he feels his first step is much quicker than it used to be.

...Taishi Ohta stayed back after general practice on Saturday to work on his hitting.  He took 162 swings and managed to hit 9 over the fence, including three to the opposite field.

...The Giants held a baseball clinic for little leaguers on Saturday.  Marc Kroon offered up three pieces of advice to the aspiring players: 1) practice everyday, 2) listen to your manager, and 3) have fun.

...Ken Kato told reporters that Kyohei Tsuchimoto left the biggest impression on him during the first session.  Tsuchimoto apparently throws the fastball and fork using the similar arm motions, making it difficult to pick up.

...Kiyoshi Toyoda's theme for Spring camp is to be a challenger.  Toyoda is currently working on picking up a shuto.

...Shinnosuke Abe told reporters that he plans to push pitchers harder during their bullpen sessions during the second session of Spring camp.  Specifically, he'll have pitchers work on their pick-offs.

...Pro wrestler Tiger Mask will be joining the Giants at Spring camp for two days (2/22 and 2/23).  He'll be there to teach the Giants how pro wrestler train.
