...Tuesday's intra-squad practice game notes:

...Tomoya Yagi was perfect in his 2 innings of work, needing only 17 pitches.  He also struck out a batter and topped out at 136km/h.

...Sho Nakata went 1-for-3 at the plate (including an RBI double) and handled 5 chances in left field without making an error.  But it does seems like he made a few mistakes (judging the distance of the ball, covering other fielders).  Masataka Nashida graded his performance at 70%;  Masaji Shimizu at 50%.

...Yoshio Itoi went 2-for-4 with a strike out (caught looking) and a 2-run double.

...Takahiro Matsuka managed to hit 145km/h on the radar gun during his outing on Monday.

...Recently elected Nago mayor Susumu Inamine visited Fighter's camp on Monday.  The Fighters are still pushing the city for a new indoor training facility.

...The intra-squad game set to take place Tuesday afternoon was pushed up to a 10am start due to rain in the forecast.

...Yu Darvish threw 78 pitches (while also working on his pick-off move) during his bullpen session on Monday.  He also had the help of umpire calls during his session.  Darvish told reporters that he's feeling great and that things were moving along smoothly.

...Sho Nakata worked on his fielding for about 1.5 hours after Monday's intra-squad game.  That's 30 minutes working with OF coach Masaji Shimizu, about 40 minutes flagging down balls in left during BP, and then about 20 more minutes with Shimizu (lecture).
