...Yuhei Takai spent his day off working out so that he'll be ready for his start in an intra-squad game on the 11th.  He'll be in right batting in the 6 hole.

...The Swallows are using heavier balls during BP.  Each ball is actually about 1.5 grams heavier (149.5 grams) than the ball they use during the regular season (148 grams).

...Atsushi Fujimoto took 100 grounders over a span of about 30 minutes at short on Tuesday.

...Jamie D'Antona blasted a 150m home run out of the park during BP on Tuesday.  Overall, he took 74 swings and hit 3 over the fence. And according to Sanspo, D'Antona also stepped into the batter's box with a slight wider stance.

...Chang-Yong Lim told reporters that he wants to be like Alex Ramirez and earn his domestic FA option (he actually took it further and said he wanted to be treated like a Japanese player).  Assuming no major injuries, that would mean he'd have to play in the NPB until 2015.  It really doesn't make much sense for him to create any "spin" at this point, unless of course he's worried about his potential value on the MLB market.  He does turn 34 this year so it's entirely possible that he's trying to keep his options open.
