...Tsuyoshi Wada threw 26 pitches in a bullpen session on Thursday with the catcher squatting.

...Nobuhiko Matsunaka hit the cages for the first time on Thursday this Spring camp and swung at full strength.  He took a total 46 swings while making sure his knees were feeling alright.  He later told reporters that he felt no pain.

...Sho Iwasaki has been working on his delivery during Spring camp.  He apparently has a tendency to open up and let his right arm drop down, causing him to lose movement and control of his pitches.  In order to keep his arm from dropping, he's raising his glove hand up higher to keep his left shoulder up.  That in turn is supposed to keep his right arm from dropping down too much.

On Thursday, Iwasaki threw 101 pitches and told reporters that he was getting a better feel for the new delivery.

...Koji Akiyama played some golf on his day off Wednesday.  When Akiyama was asked about moving players between Groups A and B, he said it still wasn't time yet.

General practice on Wednesday was moved up 30 minutes for a 9am start due to the rain.

...Nobuhiro Matsuda, Hitoshi Tamura, and Nagisa Arakaki received body suits from Under Armor that they have been wearing after practice and while they sleep.  The tight fitting body suits apparently help prevent swelling that often comes from working out really hard.

For those interested, the body suits are from the UA Recharge Compression line.

...Hiroki Kokubo requested that the Hawks put together a directory containing the names, photos, and a brief background of reporters covering the team.  The Hawks have begun taking steps towards creating the directory, having passed out surveys to reporters.

...The Hawks announced on Wednesday that they selected 21 members for the 2010 Honeys' dance team.  Only 8 are returning from the 2009 team.  A group picture can be found at the official Softbank Hawks' site.  Profiles for all the new members will be available online some time in March.  For those interested, here's a YouTube of the 2009 group doing their dance before a game on 9/27.
