Yokohama Bay Stars: Sledge and Castillo flex their muscles

...Chris Bootcheck threw 40 pitches, with the catcher squatting, during a bullpen session on Friday.
...Terrmel Sledge and Jose Castillo participated in a simulated game on Friday and both managed to hit home runs. Castillo also hit a double off the wall in center.
...Daisuke Hayakawa showed off his legs and base running prowess during situational BP on Thursday. He was a runner on first with no out and managed to make his way to third on grounder to third; and as the trailing running in a first and third, 1 out situation, Hayakwa slid hard into second to break up a double play.
...Yuji Yoshimi threw 111 pitches in a bullpen session on Thursday. Yoshimi has been working on trying to throw his fastball to the outside corner against left-handed batters. Takao Obana suggested he try imagining throwing the ball inside to right-handed batters.
