Nippon Ham Fighters: Nakata hits a 2-run homer off Fujihara

...Notes from Saturday's practice game against the Hanshin Tigers:

Toshiyuki Yanuki pitched 2 innings and gave up 3 runs (all earned) on 4 hits (including a home run), a walk, and a strike out.  He faced 11 batters in all.

Sho Nakata also hit a 2-run double in the 4th off Satoru Kanemura.  He ultimately went 2-for-5 with a double, HR, and 4 RBI.  Nakata had 5 chances in left and didn't make any errors.

Dai-Kang Yang (Yoh) had 2 hits and drove in 3 runs.

...An early note from Saturday's practice game against the Hanshin Tigers:

Sho Nakata hit a 2-run home run off Masanori Fujihara in the 7th inning.

...Masataka Nashida told reporters on Friday that he didn't plan on sending any signs to players during the game on Saturday (specifically pitching, but also including hitting).

...As of Friday:

Toshiyuki Yanuki was set to start Saturday's practice game against the Hanshin Tigers.  Yanuke held a bullpen session on Friday for last minute adjustments.

Sho Nakata was set to start in left batting in the 5-hole.  On Friday, Nakata played left field while Atsunori Inaba hit long soft toss (about 30 minutes as Inaba took 130 swings).  He also got some toss fielding (where the coaches lightly toss the ball up) near the fence in as well.

Masayoshi Kato was also set to get some playing time and was looking forward to facing Kazuhito Futagami.

...The game was also carried on SkyA on Saturday and will be carried by GAORA on Sunday.
