...Shinnosuke Abe not only picked up on Kentaro Nishimura's grimace when he threw sliders on Friday, but he also picked up on Shun Tono lifting his chin when throwing the curve on Thursday.

...Yoshinobu Takahashi was out in right during situational fielding practice on Friday.  Assuming no hang-ups, Takahashi could have a chance to play in a practice game on the 20th against the Hiroshima Carp.

While first base is also a possibility for Takahashi, his first choice is to play the outfield.
