...Additional notes from Sunday's Group A intra-squad practice game:

Hisayoshi Chono went 4-for-6 with an RBI and a stolen base.  His last two at bats were ground outs.

Taishi Ohta (started at third, batted 4th) picked up an RBI in the first with a double, but grounded out to third in his last two at bats.  He also wasn't quite as sharp with the glove -- he allowed a runner on second to advance on a grounder to third and he almost botched a pop-up behind the mound, but was saved when it was called an infield fly.

Tomoya Ichikawa and Yoshiyuki Kamei were both hit by pitches and removed from the game early just in case.  Ichikawa was hit in the right arm by Shun Tono in the second.  Kamei was hit in the right thigh by Kentaro Nishimura in the 6th.  Neither player was seriously injured.

...Marc Kroon likely won't throw a bullpen session until March.  He told reporters that he could still make the regular season because he could get ready within two weeks (he'd also need about three games during that period).

...Seth Greisinger threw 26 pitches to a squatting catcher during his second bullpen session on Sunday.

...Seems Alex Ramirez will likely be starting in left this year.  That leaves center and right open.  Matsumoto, Chono, and Itaru Hashimoto will likely compete in center; Kamei and Yoshinobu Takahashi in right.

...Five players, including Daisuke Ochi, Tetsuya Yamaguchi, Ohta, and Chono passed out 50 batches of "reverse" (gyaku) chocolates on Sunday.  Tatsunori Hara received a big box which contained two kids who presented him with a chocolate with the word genten (原点), or return to basics, written on it.

...About 30,500 fans showed up on Sunday.
