Nippon Ham Fighters: Game against Tigers canceled once again due to rain

...Yu Darvish threw 66 pitches in a bullpen session on Tuesday.  He's getting ready to pitch on the 18th against the SK Wyvern.  Masataka Nashida told reporters that he'd like to see Darvish go about 2 innings.

...Sho Nakata was bummed about the game cancellation.

...The Fighters announced  on Monday that Ryuji Kashiwabara (runner) will be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch prior to their game against the Orix Buffaloes at Tokyo Dome on 3/30.

...The Hanshin Tigers game was once again canceled due to rain.

...The Fighters currently have 20 position players and 19 pitchers at Spring camp.  Masataka Nashida is expected to start making cuts shortly.  Nashida wants to give players a chance to show what they've got during practice games, but with the bad weather, he's worried that he may not be able to give everyone a good look.  Their practice game against the LG Twins on Wednesday could end up being a really critical game for players on the border.

...Yoshio Itoi is concerned about the bad weather and their dwindling chances at taking part in practice games.

...Masao Kida worked out on Monday and told reporters that he plans on holding bullpen sessions everyday throughout the rest of Spring camp (minus off-days).  Kida has already thrown four bullpen session after being called up to Ichi-gun camp on the 11th.

...Sho Nakata worked out on his day off for the third consecutive time.  He started things up a little after 12 and worked out for about an hour.  His training menu including weights and practice swinging.
