Both Ryota Igarashi and Hisanori Takahashi worked out at Port St. Lucie on the 15th.  Igarashi threw about 35 pitches in the bullpen and said he was at about 50-60%.  Takahashi threw about 70 pitches and said that he felt good.  He also found a uniform with the number 78 in his locker after practice.

Omar Minaya was on hand to watch Igarashi pitch.

Theo Epstein was apparently impressed with the condition that Daisuke Matsuzaka was in.

Junichi Tazawa threw 35 pitches during his 6th bullpen session on the 15th.  He told reporters that he's finally getting a feel for his release point.  Tazawa also told reporters that he's been having trouble understanding the daily training menu (he doesn't have an interpreter right now).

Hideaki Okajima also worked out on the 15th.  Matsuzaka did not.

Hideki Matsui arrived in New York on the 15th.  He told reporters he would miss NY but that he also looked forward to making a new home in Anaheim.

Kazuo Matsui closed out his training in Japan on Tuesday.  He spent about 2 hours at the Jingu indoor training facilities working on his trunk muscles.  He also played some catch and hit some soft toss BP.
