...Tetsuya Yamaguchi will be working on throwing his change to the inside corner again left-handed batters during an intra-squad practice game on the Wednesday.  Last year, he threw his slider to the outside corner and the shuto to the inside corner against left-handed batters.  But now that he's starting, he needs to work on establishing additional methods to get lefties out.  Up until now, Yamaguchi has avoided throwing the change to left-handed hitters for fear that he might not be able to throw it where he wants to.  He was also thinking of learning how to throw a curve, but decided to stop because there wasn't enough time.

...Yasunari Takagi worked out on his day off on Monday.  He threw about 100 pitches into a net and then headed to the bullpen.  Takagi took out a video came and set it up in the batter's box on the right and threw a number of pitches (with no one catching) to check on his delivery.  He closed out his practice with about an hour and a half of shadow pitching.

...Chuo Koron Shinsha will be publishing a book written by Tatsunori Hara on how to build a team that can continue to win (原点~勝ち続ける組織作り~).  The book will sell for 1,500 yen and will be available in late March.

...The man that stole baseball equipment out of Ryuichi Kajimae's was recently booked on additional charges of drug possession.  The man was originally arrested on the afternoon of 1/22 in front of a sporting goods store -- Kajimae's car was broken into early that morning.  It was later found out that the man was involved in 200 other burglary cases.
