...Notes from Wednesday's practice game against the LG Twins:

Buddy Carlyle started the game and gave up a run on 3 hits (including a HR) over 2 innings of work.  He faced 8 batters and struck out 2.

Bob Keppel relieved Carlyle and tossed 2 innings.  He faced 7 batters, gave up 1 hit (a HR) and struck out 3.

Tomohiro Nioka hit an RBI double in the 2nd.

Dai-Kang Yang (Yoh) hit a 2-run home run in the 6th.

The Fighters beat the Twins, 5-4.

...Due to the canceled game against the Hanshin Tigers on Tuesday, the practice game against the LG Twins on Wednesday was extended to an 11-inning game.

...Yu Darvish apparently wasn't very happy with his bullpen session on Tuesday.  Seems his body was still a little tired from his 158-pitch bullpen session on Saturday and didn't move the way he wanted it to.  He still managed to impress scouts from the Giants and Swallows.

...Shota Ohno will likely be catching Darvish in a game on the 18th against the SK Wyverns.  It will basically be a test to see how the two work together.

...Brian Wolfe threw 38 pitches in a bullpen session on Tuesday.  Seems Wolfe has a two-seamer that moves like a sinker.
