...Kan Ohtake threw 82 pitches during a bullpen session on Thursday.  He told reporters that he had a good session and was able to throw his pitch down in the zone.  He also said that he planned on throwing about 50 pitches in the bullpen on Friday.

...Ohtake, Yuki Saito, Takeshi Komatsu, and Takeru Imamura split up into two groups and took about 35 minutes worth of fielding practice on Thursday.

...Jeff Fiorentino went 2-for-3 in a simulated game on Thursday.  And while he didn't seem to hit for much power during BP, he did show a compact swing while spraying the ball to all fields.  Fiorentino told reporters that he didn't think it was necessary to waste any power now and that his main focus right now was to hit the ball the opposite way.

...Takeru Imamura is scheduled to begin playing catch on Thursday.  Imamura felt some tightness in his right shoulder on the 10th and has been focusing on working on strengthening his lower body.  Assuming he's alright, he'll likely throw a bullpen session at some point in the near future.

...Kenjiro Nomura played some golf on his day off Wednesday.  Nomura is currently thinking of pitching Taketo Kawaguchi in practice games on either the 20th (vs the Yomiuri Giants) or 21st (vs the Seibu Lions).

...Carlo Alvarado worked on his conditioning on his day off and ran for about an hour.

...Mike Schultz spent his day off lifting some weights.

...Nomura, player rep Yoshiyuki Ishihara, GM Kiyoaki Suzuki, and a number of other personnel, visited Udo Jingu on Wednesday to be purified (of evil spirits).
