...The second block of camp began in Kochi on Friday.  As usual, there was a ceremony (where the mayor of Okazaki presented the team with various food items like melons, strawberries, and citrus fruits) to kick-off the first day of camp in Kochi.

...Practice at Kochi will begin at 10:00am, 30 minutes earlier than Miyakojima camp.

...The team went over signs on Thursday during a team meeting at the players' hotel in Kochi.

...The Buffaloes are apparently thinking of not using Miyakojima as a Spring camp location next year.  The Buffaloes submitted a request to Miyakojima, asking if they could improve conditions at the stadium -- the coaches apparently weren't too happy when they found dandelions in the outfield grass.  It seems the Buffaloes have begun thinking of possible alternates, including a couple of places overseas like Maui.

...The Buffaloes traded for Shogo Akada in the hopes that he can fill a gaping hole in the outfield.
