...Marc Kroon played long distance catch (about 40 meters) on his day off Friday.  He told reporters that he'd like to hold at least one bullpen during Spring camp if possible.  Kroon also said that he didn't want to push himself too hard either.

...Kentaro Nishimura spent about an hour running and pitching into a net on his day off Friday.  Nishimura is scheduled to pitch 2 innings during Saturday's practice game against the Hiroshima Carp.  He's been working on attacking the outside corners against right-handed batters.

...Tetsuya Utsumi will be starting a practice game against the Softbank Hawks on 2/21.  Both Shigeo Nagashima and Sadaharu Oh are scheduled to attend the game.

...Alex Ramirez will likely be the starting DH batting 4th in Saturday's practice game against the Hiroshima Carp.  He'll probably bat 2-3 times and be replaced.

...Hisayoshi Chono will likely start in left and bat 8th during Saturday's practice game.  Chono is 7-for-14 during inter-squad games so far.

...Tatsunori Hara had Takahiko Nomaguchi and Shun Tono do some sprints between first base and the right field foul pole when they failed to lay down bunts during bunt practice.

...It seems there might be some concern with Seth Greisinger -- he has yet to take part in any game-like situational practice.  He also recently started complaining of back pain about a week ago.  Greisinger did play some long distance catch (about 20 meters) on Thursday.  He also told reporters that he plans on holding a bullpen session within the next 3-4 days (he's only thrown 2 sessions so far).  This could ultimately mean that Greisinger begins the regular season at Ni-gun.
