Yomiuri Giants: Giants expecting about 15,000 fans on the 21st

...Notes from Saturday's practice game against the Hiroshima Carp:

...Takahiko Nomaguchi gave up 2 runs on 6 hits over 3 innings of work.  The next three pitchers did not allow any runs but did give up 11 hits.

...Yoshinobu Takahashi (started at first and batted 6th) hit a home run off Keisuke Imai in the fourth.  He ended the game 2-for-2.

...Shinnosuke Abe hit 2-run home run off Junpei Shinoda in his first at bat.

...The Giants won the game, 3-2.

...The Giants will be playing a game against the Golden Golds sometime after the Nippon Series at Giants Stadium in Kawasaki.  It will likely be the final ceremonial game for Golden Golds manager Kinichi Hagimoto.

...Takahiko Nomaguchi played some catch with Norihito Kaneto during their day off on Friday.  Nomaguchi is set to make a start against the Hiroshima Carp on Saturday.

...The Giants are expecting about 15,000 fans to visit training camp on the 21st to see Shigeo Nagashima and Sadaharu Oh stand on the same baseball field.  The team also plans to have about 20 police officers located in various areas inside and outside the stadium.

...Shinnosuke Abe signed 300 autograph boards on Friday and told reporters that beginning Saturday, he plans to hand them out to fans at various locations around the stadium.  Abe isn't sure where or when he'll start handing them out so any fans standing near him might want to keep their eyes peeled.

...Marc Kroon threw the ball about 50 times during his session of long distance catch on his day off Friday.

...Wirfin Obispo tried some eel at a nearby restaurant on his day off.
