...NPB Commissioner Ryozo Kato visited Buffaloes' camp on Monday.  He has now visited all 12 teams in the NPB during Spring camp.

...Norihiro Akahoshi dropped by Buffaloes' camp on Monday.  At the request of Akinobu Okada, Akahoshi spent some time giving players advice on stealing (taking leads, how to take the first step).  Okada later told reporters that he'll take Akahoshi out to dinner as "payment" for his coaching.

...Okada could pitch Toru Anan out of the pen against the Hanshin Tigers on the 27th or 28th.

...Additional notes from Sunday's intra-squad practice game:

Anan also didn't give up any hits or runs during his one inning of work.

...Alex Cabrera complained of pain in his left calf leg on Sunday.  He's currently listed as day-to-day and will be working out under a different training menu.  Okada told reporters on Monday that he likely won't play in an intra-squad practice game on the 25th, but may get a couple of at bats as a DH during an exhibition game against the Tigers on the 28th.

...Additional notes from Sunday's intra-squad practice game:

Shuichi Furukawa didn't give up any hits or runs in his one inning of work; he did give up a walk.

Takahiro Okada collected a hit off Kazuki Kondo in his first AB.  He had gone without a hit over 4 straight intra-squad practice games.

...Akinobu Okada is considering Furukawa as a lefty option out of the bullpen.  He'll likely use him in an exhibition game against the Hanshin Tigers on the 27th or 28th.

...Okada is apparently a bit concerned about Satoshi Komatsu.  He only topped out at 133km/h during his last outing.  But more than that, Komatsu doesn't appear to have much action on his pitches.  The Buffaloes are currently thinking of having Komatsu take a look at some footage of him pitching from 2008 after his next outing on the 25th (intra-squad practice game).
