Rakuten Eagles: Day Off / Eagles to go with Iwakuma, Tanaka, and Nagai for first 5 games of regular season

...Hisashi Iwakuma held a bullpen session on Monday and threw 60 pitches.  Iwakuma is currently working out with the Ni-gun team at Kumejima.  He told reporters that he's feeling a little tired and isn't at his best right now.

...Marty Brown graded his first Spring camp with the Eagles a 97%.  Brown focused on three main issues during Spring camp: communicating with the players; making players accountable for their workouts; and re-evaluating practice methods in order to make them more efficient.

...The scheduling for the Eagles' first 5 games will allow them to stick to 2010 with 2 starts for both Hisashi Iwakuma (3/20 vs ORI, 3/27 vs SEI) and Masahiro Tanaka (3/21 vs ORI, 3/28 vs SEI).  Satoshi Nagai will pitch the 5th game (3/22 vs ORI).

...Tanaka threw 77 pitches during his last bullpen session of Spring camp on Sunday.

...The Eagles have the day off on Monday as they move into Naha.  The "second leg" of their training begins Tuesday with a practice game against the Chunichi Dragons.
