...Additional notes from Sunday's practice game against the Softbank Hawks:

Kyohei Tsuchimoto topped out at 146km/h and allowed 2 hits.

Shun Tono scattered 3 hits over his 3 innings of work.

Taishi Ohta started at third and batted 9th.  He went 0-for-3 with 2 strike outs and made a bad throw to first in the third.

Edgar Gonzalez started at second and batted 3rd.  He collected a single in the fourth and managed to advance to third (from first) on Alex Ramirez's single into center.

38,000 fans were on hand to watch the game and see Shigeo Nagashima and Sadaharu Oh stand on the same field for the first time since 2/24/2008.

...Ohta has now gone 13 straight plate appearances without a hit.  And after making a bad throw to first that turned a should-be out into an infield single during the third inning of Sunday's practice game against the Softbank Hawks, Nagashima suggested Ohta take more fielding practice.

...Hisayoshi Chono is now 9-for-21 over 5 practice games.
