...A note from Tuesday's practice game against the Chunichi Dragons:

Masahiro Tanaka retired the first two batters he faced and then gave up back-to-back home runs to Masahiko Morino and Tony Blanco in the first inning.

...Hisashi Iwakuma is looking forward to facing Yu Darvish in an exhibition game on the 27th.  But he also told reporters that he felt the match-up was a little early and that he wasn't quite ready yet.

...Kenji Tomura tossed his first simulated game at Ni-gun camp on Monday.  He faced 11 batters, didn't give up a hit, and walked 1.  Tomuro also managed to strike Takeshi Yamasaki out with a high fastball.

...Yamasaki is currently working out with the Ni-gun team.  He is currently scheduled to join the Ichi-gun roster on 3/10 (exhibition gave vs Hiroshima Carp).  Until then, Yamasaki will likely get some ABs during the Ikusei Spring league, which run from 3/2 to 3/18.

Yamasaki also went 2-for-3 in a simulated game on Monday.
