...A note from Tuesday's practice game against the Chiba Lotte Marines:

Chang-Yong Lim entered the game in the 7th (third pitcher on record) and tossed a perfect inning while striking out two.

...Shohei Tateyama visited a hospital in Kanagawa to get an MRI on his right shoulder.  Results indicate that there are no additional problems with the shoulder and that he should be ok (there's still some inflammation).  Tateyama is now scheduled to throw a bullpen session with a squatting catcher as early as the 24th.

...Tetsuya Yamamoto returned to Tokyo on the 23rd due to pain in his right elbow.  Yamamoto tossed 2 shut-out innings against the Chunichi Dragons during an exhibition game on the 20th.  He apparently began feeling the pain during that outing.  Tests at a local hospital in Okinawa done on the 21st indicated inflammation in a ligament in his right elbow.  Yamamoto will now get additional testing done on the area to check the extent of the damage.

...With the help of Yoshinori Sato, Tatsuyoshi Masubuchi shaved his hair down on Sunday night as a sign of how serious he is about winning a spot in the starting rotation.  Masubuchi is scheduled to pitch in a practice game against the Eagles on the 24th.

...Hitoshi Yamamoto's start against the Hanwha Eagles on the 25th was canceled due to tightness in his right elbow.  Yamamoto is listed as day-to-day.  Masato Nakazawa has already been selected to get the start.
