...Yu Darvish threw 11 pitches during a morning bullpen session on Thursday.  It also seems Shota Ohno might end up being Darvish's main catcher this year.

...Tomohiro Nioka felt some tightness in his left calf and worked out under a separate training menu on Thursday.  He also did not take any BP.

...Masayoshi Kato is currently the lone rookie at Ichi-gun camp.

...Nippon Ham Fighters owner Hiroshi Ohkoso apparently doesn't like Sho Nakata's haircut.   Nakata's response:  "I still haven't figured out what I want to do with it.  I'm still thinking."

...Naoki Miyanishi spent some time in an oxygen chamber on Wednesday (day off).

...Kenji Tsuchiya joined Ichi-gun camp on Thursday.  He was more or less called up in place of Masanori HayashiMasataka Nashida told reporters that he'd prefer to use Tsuchiya in the rotation, but can't because he also needs a lefty in the pen.

Mitsuo Yoshikawa is another potential left-handed candidate out of the pen.

...Asunori Inaba is looking forward to facing Hisashi Iwakuma on the 27th.
