The team announced on Tuesday that they will be suspending Nelson for three months.  That means absolutely no baseball, at any level, for Nelson over the next three months.

The club decided not to release Nelson because there was no intent for wrongdoing.

It seems the front office has decided what they will be doing with Nelson.  They just have to clear it with the owner before they can make an official announcement.  According to Nikkan Sports, Nelson's punishment likely won't involve being released.

Nelson worked out with the Ni-gun players at Nagoya Dome on Monday.  He later told reporters that he was grateful to the Dragons for allowing him to practice.

Nelson held a press conference at Nagoya Dome on Sunday to make a formal public apology.  Prior to the press conference, he sat down with the team to discuss the specifics of what happened.  The team will be making a decision on what to do with Nelson within the next few days.

It seems there's a chance that he could be released from the team.

Player rep Masahiko Morino couldn't believe his ears and questioned Nelson's character.

Nelson was released earlier today after the Naha District Public Prosecutor's Office decided it wasn't necessary to detain him any further.  An investigation of his home in Nagoya turned up no additional live ammunition.  Nelson has also admitted to possession of the live round of ammunition and has shown remorse for his actions.

It appears that one round of live ammunition was found in his luggage.  And it seems that Nelson has admitted to having the round of live ammunition in his bag after saying that he forgot to remove it from his bag prior to leaving the Dominican Republic.  It isn't illegal for people to carry guns in the Dominican Republic if they have the appropriate papers.
