Yoshinobu Takahashi started and played in his first full regular season game since September 22, 2008 (he also played a full game on 10/24/2008 against the Chunichi Dragons during the Climax Series). He also appeared to show legs that were healthy -- he tried to stretch a double into a triple, but was thrown out sliding into third; and he hit a double in the sixth. ... Hisayoshi Chono extended his "hitting streak" to 8 games. ... Hideaki Wakui topped out at 141km/h. He told reporters he had to work on pitching out of the stretch.
