Yokohama Bay Stars: Last day of Spring camp

...The Bay Stars closed out their Spring camp on Sunday.

...Head coach Makoto Shimada's thoughts on Yoshitomo Tsutsugo:

"If he keeps on hitting, it'll only make things difficult for us.  We don't have a position for him.  He's going to make us cry."

Shimada also said that he doesn't ever want to let Tsutsugo hit from the right side.

Rookies that collected two hits in their team's first exhibition game of the year: Sadaharu Oh in 1959 and Hiroyuki Yamazaki in 1965.  Tsutsugo is actually the first rookie to do it after the inception of the draft.

...Yuki Takamori is hoping to make the Ichi-gun roster.  Unfortunately he's got his work cut out for him.  He's up against Seiichi Uchikawa at first and Takahiro Saeki as a left-handed bat off the bench.
