...Kimiyasu Kudo was scheduled to pitch against the Softbank Hawks on Tuesday, but did not due to tightness in his left elbow.  Kudo will now continue his workouts at Ni-gun, beginning on Wednesday.  He will likely get the elbow checked out as well.

...The Lions announced on Tuesday that they have promoted bullpen catcher Hideshi Nakata to assistant catching coach.  The move was made in order to alleviate the opening created by Katsuya Soma's (current catching coach) hospitalization.

...Alex Graman told reporters that he was currently at 85-90% ready.  He also apparently held two bullpen sessions a week since November, throwing about 40 pitches each time and maxing out at about 135km/h.  When asked about whether he'd be ready for opening day, Graman said he wasn't sure.

...Yusei Kikuchi left for Osaka from Spring camp on Monday.  In Osaka, he apparently dropped by ASICS to make adjustments on his cleats.  After that, he headed back to his dorm in Saitama.  Kikuchi will be joining the Ni-gun roster beginning on Tuesday.  Pitching coach Tetsuya Shiozaki told reporters he wants Kikuchi to approach Ni-gun as if he was going to become the staff ace.
