Both Ryota Igarashi and Hisanori Takahashi will likely pitch against the Boston Red Sox on the 11th.  Junichi Tazawa is scheduled to pitch in relief for the Red Sox.

Hideki Matsui will likely get his days off when the team goes on the road to play exhibition games.  The Angels also wouldn't be against allowing Matsui to get a few more at bats during minor league games.  He could also get his first shot in the outfield in one of the games between the 21st and 25th.

Seems like a number of Japanese companies are looking to buy ad space Angels' Stadium -- Komatsu, Kura Sushi, Nitto USA, and THK.

On the 10th, Matsui was the starting DH and batted fourth against the Cincinnati Reds.  He went 0-for-2: ground out to short, fly out to center.  Matsui was taken out after two at bats.  Prior to the game, Matsui did some base-running practice for the second straight day.  He also did some fielding drills in the outfield for about 20 minutes.

Hideki Okajima needed only 7 pitches to get through an inning of relief against the Tampa Bay Rays on the 10th.  Okajima could not throw his new change during the game and instead practiced throwing it in a bullpen session after his outing.

Daisuke Matsuzaka held a bullpen session on the 10th and threw 64 pitches to a squatting catcher.  Matsuzaka is scheduled to throw his first BP on the 13th.

Ichiro Suzuki started in right and batted lead-off against the Texas Rangers on the 10th.  He went 1-for-3 with an RBI: single to left, sac fly to center, fly out to right, ground out to short.  Ichiro was taken out of the game in the 7th on defense.

Takashi Saito tossed an inning in relief against the New York Mets on the 10th and gave up 3 runs on 3 hits, a walk, and 1 strike out.

Kazuo Matsui started at second and batted second against the Florida Marlins on the 10th.  He went 1-for-2: ground out to first, infield single.  Matsui was removed the game in the 5th on defense.
