...A number of Tigers dropped by Nishinomiya Shrine on Monday to pray for a successful season.  Included in the group: team owner Shinya Sakai, Akinobu Mayumi, player rep Takashi Toritani, Tomoaki Kanemoto, Takahahiro Arai, Kenji Johjima, and Kyuji Fujikawa.

...Kanemoto saw a total 18 pitches on Sunday and swung at 9 of them: 5 pitches during his first at bat, 7 pitches during his second at bat, and 6 pitches during his third at bat.

...Fujikawa pitched in an Ikusei League game against Chunichi on Sunday.  He tossed 2 shutout innings and gave up 1 hit and struck out 5 (he struck out two in a row to end the fourth and then three in a row after giving up a lead-off double).  Fujikawa topped out at 147km/h and threw 31 pitches.  His next appearance will likely come on the 16th against the Yomiuri Giants.

...Minoru Iwata threw a total 48 pitches and topped out at 143km/h during his Ikusei League game start against Chunichi on Sunday.

...The Tigers' line-up on Sunday could be what the opening day line-up looks like (at least the first 7 spots):

Murton, Toritani, Kanemoto, Arai, Johjima, Brazell, Sakurai

...The Tigers announced the addition of three new food items on Sunday: the Johjima Style Pork Soup Ramen (800 yen), the Power Brazell Rice Bowl with beef and chicken (850 yen), and the Hearty Man Sakurai Lunch Box (1200 yen).  All three items are set to go on sale beginning 4/6 when the Giants are in town.

...It seems a total 2,800 fans visited the Museum of Hanshin Koshien Stadium on Sunday.
