Yokohama Bay Stars: March 15, 2010

by on Mar.15, 2010 @ 7:33 pm, under NPB, Spring Camp

...Yoshitomo Tsutsugo was  in the dugout during Sunday's game but did not see any playing time.  That was the first time Tsutsugo was in the dugout and yet did not get to play in a game.  Tsutsugo will play in an Ikusei League game on Tuesday and then rejoin the team again on Wednesday.  With Shuichi Murata getting most of the playing time at third, Tsutsugo will have a very limited number of chances to play moving forward.

...Daisuke Miura's next outing will likely come on the 20th against the Yomiuri Giants.

...After the team's first victory on Sunday, Takao Obana rounded up the team for a 20 minute meeting.  After that, he pulled the pitchers and catchers together for a 2-hour meeting going over various strategies.

...The Bay Stars had gone 23 innings without scoring a run when Shuichi Murata hit his 3-run homer in the first inning of Sunday's game against the Orix Buffaloes.
