...Tsuyoshi Wada was the Ni-gun opening day start for the Hawks on Friday. He gave up three runs on five hits over three innings of work. Wada threw a total 74 games during the game and an additional 36 pitches in the bullpen. He is still scheduled to start the home opener on the 26th against the Orix Buffaloes.
...Kenta Imamiya started at short and batted second. He went 0-for-3 with a walk during Ni-gun opening day on Friday. Imamiya's first official at bat was a walk in the first inning; he also stole second.
