...Miho Takagi threw out a ceremonial pitch after the 5th inning on Monday.  Fighters' mascot B.B caught the ball on one-hop.

...Masao Kida made an emergency appearance after Bobby Keppel complained of pain in his left flank during Monday's game against the Softbank Hawks.  Kida was apparently drinking some coffee before being called to the bullpen.

...Tomochika Tsuboi played in his 1,000th career game on Monday.

...Masataka Nashida finally won his 500th career game on Monday.

...A day after throwing 147 pitches, Yu Darvish told reporters on Sunday that he was feeling alright.  In order to offset the workload on his right right-side, Darvish spent some time playing catch with his left.

...Sho Nakata followed his 1-for-2 with 2 RBI on Saturday and an 0-for-3 with 2 SO on Sunday.  He wasn't in the starting lineup on Monday.

...Before giving up a go-ahead home run to Nobuhiro Matsuda in the top of the 11th on Sunday, Hisashi Takeda had not given up a home run to the Softbank Hawks since Hitoshi Tamura hit one out on 5/20/2007 (a total 23 games and 116 batters faced).

...Sapporo Beer is selling two Fighters' themed packaged beer sets in the Hokkaido area: the Kaimaku Dash Go! Go! cans (北海道生搾りみがき麦) and the AiProject cans (生ビール黒ラベル).
