...Bum-Ho Lee recorded his first official hit in Japan in his third at bat on Monday.

...Before getting stepping into the batter's box in the top of the 11th on Sunday, batting coach Yoshiie Tachibana told Nobuhiro Matsuda to be the hero of the game.  One pitch later (a 118km/h hanging curve), he nailed a home run to give his team a 2-1 lead.

Matsuda never made it to the second game of the season in 2009 -- he suffered a fracture in his right hand on opening day.

...Munenori Kawasaki was the only batter in the line-up to get a hit off Hisashi Takeda on Sunday.

...Yuichi Honda went 0-for-1o (4 SO) before picking up his first hit of the season on Monday during his first at bat of the game.
